Brian is a fresh graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He graduated cum laude in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Journalism, completing the Print and Digital News sequence with an emphasis in Watchdog reporting. He also earned a minor in Leadership and Public Service.

Throughout his college career, Brian juggled his passions for journalism and service. While working part-time as a host and server at Lone Star Steakhouse, he spent two semesters as public safety and health reporter for the Columbia Missourian, two semesters as weekly web story contributor for MUTV 23 Sports and two semesters as staff writer for the Maneater. He also spent one summer as public relations intern at LEWIS PR and one semester as political affairs intern at the European Wind Energy Association. In addition, he was a Tri-Chair of the Honors College, a brother of Theta Chi Fraternity and a recipient of the Multicultural Certificate. Fulfilling his passion for community service, the Eagle Scout spent time serving for his minor in Leadership and Public Service as well as Mizzou Collegiate Scholars and National Society for Collegiate Scholars, honor societies that offer a wide array of community service opportunities.

He enjoys writing, running and everything that has to do with the Missouri Tigers (Hence WriteRunRoar).
